Kingsville sits along the north shore of Lake Erie in the County of Essex.

Uniquely located as the southernmost town in Canada, it has the warmest climate of any city in Ontario comparable to northern California at the same latitude. Because of this positioning, it is mostly an agricultural community with thriving growing conditions. Neighbouring the Municipality of Leamington, which has one of North America’s largest concentrations of vegetable greenhouses, Kingsville farms produce tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, strawberries, and flowers. It is also home to four estate wineries, including the largest in Canada, producing various award-winning wines from our region.

Its small-town charm brings many to the downtown core of Kingsville, alongside the communities of Cottam and Ruthven that boast many award-winning restaurants, breweries, wineries and cafes. The town is quaint and welcoming with sandy beaches, waterfront views and many tourist and recreational opportunities. Many are drawn to the community to visit Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary, a popular spot for bird-watching, or the Chrysler Canada Greenway that interconnects with the National Waterfront Trail. Its marine facilities include the Cedar Island Marina and Yacht Club with a seasonal ferry to Pelee Island, and an international working harbour at the Port of Kingsville.
